What effects would poor lighting quality have on Z/Ps? Long term and short.

I know that Z/P do not "normally" require high light levels like SPS but they can thrive in these conditions also. I am looking for info on the effects of poor lighting conditions such as mildly less PAR than required and poor spectrum selection or output from your lighting.

For instance if Zoa X needed 50-100 PAR for sustained life what effects would be noticeable if it were receiving only 35 PAR for an extended period, or conversely the same polyp was under 120 PAR? Also say you had tweaked the ever favorite SPS AB+ to your viewing preference and the true spectrum output was outside the "norm" for Zoa X would coloration and growth be the only thing effected? Trying to learn a little more about what lighting conditions would effect things like; skirt length, overall polyp expansion, and the like....

Any info/ experience shared is appreciated!

2 effects are Stretching and bleaching

Understood, however looking for a little more detail possibly. I can attest to over lighting can bleach them, but what about mildly over lit? Say for example; if you have a mildly over lit colony then you would notice slightly retracted skirts or dull coloration from what's expected.

Coloration definately changes based on intensity for many of the zoanthid strains. The spectrum is important also.......many are running all blues and uv. Running full spectrum and then "showing" the zoas in just blue lighting can have an interesting effect sometimes also. I wonder if some of the crazier morphs out there are from intentional lighting tweaks.
