I figure it needed to be home with me. [emoji6]

Looks like cyphastrea that's browned out. Let see what we can do about it. [emoji869]

Tyree Brick Red Cyphastrea, I have two in the tank. They grow well down low in the light.

That's what I thought when I saw it. I'll give it a couple of days in that spot and then I'll move it back further if it shows signs of stress.

Mine like the light, these pictures are today. I had been dealing with a tank crash, the were spread out a lot more before. They are slow growers compared to my jingle bells

Here's the WWC example. Let's say a little prayer to the universal great spirit for a swift recovery.
They are tough buggers

Oh beside the tank crash a major red cyano outbreak too.

Vertical placement? I've got an emerald that's occupying a perfect nook for it, guess I've gotta try evicting Mable Peabody with an enticing dinner!

Hope it recovers cause it's a gnarly color!

Put it on the back of the tank and let it spread? It seen them done this way and it pretty cool looking.

I could dig that! I've got Skeleton hands coming this week, you just gave me an IDEA

Looks a lot like the cyphastrea that I have in my sig photo. Had it cover a large crystal skull vodka bottle. Looks awesome in the tank..

As of this morning. I was noticing a little tissue loss on the side so I moved it to a lower flow area.

I have had a meteor shower cyphastrea for a year or so... one of the faster growing stony corals I've seen. It has easily quadrupled (and would probably have done more but the area it was placed on limits it's size). I also just got an Alien Pox from JoeKnowsReefs about a month ago... already doubled in size. I'm going to frag my meteor shower and see how it does on the back wall (and how it competes with ricordea, anthelia, palyzoa, and capricornus back there). Hope your's pulls out and shines!

@Elementalj , go get one! Getting it empty to place in the tank is the best part!!! lol! It is made of glass with no coloring and it was full of high grade vodka so I figured if people dose vodka as a form of carbon dosing, it can't be bad for the tank. So far it's fantastic. I may knock off the frag plug soon to eliminate that funny looking bump on the skull though...
