Popeye in a lawnmower blenny

So I’ve been prophylactically treating my lawnmower blenny after a possible velvet exposure and now he has popeye.

He’s currently in coppersafe at 1.8 - I’ve been testing with my Hanna checker. Any suggestions?

I have metro, kick ich, rally etc on hand but no much experience in doing baths.

@Humblefish or @melypr1985 , I believe epsom salt would be used for popeye, just not sure if you can add it to what you are currently using to treat him. Hopefully someone will chime in soon.

Both eyes.

He didn't make it. I think the popeyes were a symptom of something more sinister. Maybe he was suffering from the velvet and just not symptomatic in a way that I understood.

Both eyes usually denotes a bacterial infection. Gram negative bacterial infections kill rather quickly. The only way to know for sure would be to do a scrape of the area and then do a gram stain test. Kits are available on Amazon, etc. for about 30.00

I cured my last double popeye with epsom salt, furan-2 and kanaplex. Fish still swims a little funny, but his eyes are now normal size.
