Whats the general treatment method for popeye on a yellow tang?

Treatment is ethromyacin better known as Maracyn/Maracyn 1 for 5 days
Assure to maintain good water quality and I generally recommend increase aeration using air stone
Typical cause is a scratch or general injury

There are multiple causes of this.

Is it just one eye or both?
Is there cloudiness to the eyes, or are they clear?
How long has it had the issue?

Just 1 eye for now, a little cloudiness. I noticed it for the 1st time yesterday. Tank was a reboot and is about 2 months in, tang and clowns are 7 and 8 years

Well, no way to be 100% certain, but I'd say this is a minor injury and would just watch it for now.

Ill def be keeping an eye on it. Just dont wanna go through the hassel of pulling him from the tank

Additionally are sure your parameters are excellent (nitrate, etc).

Update, the eye is still bulged a bit but has cleared up almost completely if not 100%. I can now see that this was an injury to the eye as i can see a cut/scratch
