Porcelain crab

ANEMONE Porcelain Crabs will host an anemone, I have one hosting my Rock Flower

I just didn't know if they would come in by themselves and host any anemone in your tank. I have a huge Rose bubble that my clowns won't host so I thought about getting one

I've heard they will host in other things too, like different corals, therefore why not just try it? I'm looking to get one myself eventually. I've read there are other things that can beat them up though, like emerald crabs which I have one of... I think... haven't seen him in weeks... and of course clowns if the clowns decide they liked that anemone after all. I honestly say plop him near it and see what happens.

I’ve seen a rock flower anemone I really like at my lfs, I’ve asked him to hold it for me while I do some research.

I keep reading they will eat my fish, how has your one been with fish? I’d be keeping mine in a 20g nano.

The main reason I want one is for a porcelain crab or two. The other tank inhabitants are a royal gramma, yasha goby, firefish and clownfish.

I have one the moves between a rock and a BTA, very docile doesn’t bother anything and really cool to look at. I have 6 Rock Anemones and they have never hurt or caught a fish.

They won't eat your fish but once they get used to capturing food (when you feed them) they will grab small things like crabs, snails, nudibranchs anything you have they can catch. Mine ate 2 lettuce nudis and a chromodoris annae :(

Awesome!! I’ll try a couple without getting the anemone and hopefully they’ll stay out rather than disappear into the rockwork. I was told they do that without an anemone.

Thats a lot bigger than I have ever seen them. I have only seen them about an inch
