Hi Everyone,
I've had this puffer for about a week and its eyes look like this (not my picture but the eyes are the same as my puffer) :
Puffer.jpg

Is this normal? It's currently eating ghost shrimp since it won't take frozen shrimp, pellets, or flakes. Are these things related? All my tank parameters are fine - 1.026 salinity, 0 Ammonia, 0 Nitrite, 2-3 Nitrates, Calcium 470 ppm, Alk 8 dKH.

Thanks,
SD Reefer

Hard to tell from your picture. Possibly you are seeing flukes in his eyes? See photos below for comparison purposes.

If you are talking about that picture in particular, porcupine puffers naturally have blue eyes like that. It can sometimes appear as if the blue is on the outside of the eye, but that's normal. Flukes are still possible, but the eyes of that puffer look completely normal.
