Porcupine Puffer fish.. ich?

Hey guys! I’m new to the forum! I’ve had my puffer about three weeks, and seemingly overnight he’s gotten white spots all over his body. I’ve attached pictures. Any help is appreciated! TIA!

Can you give some more information?


1. Did you QT,
2. Any other fish sick or not
3. Your parameters.
4. Any symptoms besides the spots? Eating, flashing, breathing?
5. Did you treat the fish with anything (dips, etc)

Can you post pics under white lighting?
Whichever parasite it has begin a quarantine tank as you will need it to utilize treatment unless your tank is intended to be fish only
As puffers can be sensitive to certain medications, quick cure and general cure or coppersafe will be treatment
