Hi, i have a year old porcupine puffer that stopped eating a few days ago and the only thing i can think of is because i added a huma huma trigger last week. The trigger is not bothering him but its the only thing i thought of. Its a 200 gallon tank and all parameters and all other fish are good. How long can he go without eating before i worry and what else should i do for now?

Do you have a photo of the puffer?

Puffer fish don't have teeth, they have a "beak plate", If this plate becomes over-grown, they can't eat.

Your tank should have lots of shells and other things for it to grind on. This helps them to maintain their beak.

My female will typically go 2-3 days when gravid without food. It's very noticeable when she is though since she has a non food pot belly.

Yes, often intimidation, water quality or disease but I believe intimidation which should settle
