What size tank would be a good size for a small porcupine puffer as a grow out tank? 1-2". Or would he best best going straight into a 180g?

I thought I posted this in the fish discussion thread, I guess I didn't. Sorry about that. Can I get this moved please?

Grow out tanks usually stunt the growth of a fish
I would say 75 would be a good grow out for a short time
I figured it would. I was thinking about a 125. I thought a 75 would be too small, how long would he be able to be in the 75? I just want him to gain some weight before he goes into a big boy tank.

If you want it to gain weight just put it in the big tank like i said you are chancing stunting the fishes growth in a smaller tank given bigger space it would grow faster

75 is too small but if its just a holding tank until you get your main tank up and running its ok i would not let it stay more than 6 months for a 2 inch puffers need space
