Poriferan sponges on my frogspawn?

I noticed some clear tube like structures on the skeleton / base of my frogspawn today. They seem to be spreading all over it pretty rapidly and are causing it to retract. I haven't added anything new to the tank since August. Here is a pic of them under white light. Could they be Poriferan sponges? How do I get rid of them safely? Thank you in advance!

I would agree with them being sponges. I doubt they are causing your frogspawn to retract and I would consider them beneficial and would look at other variables. But if they really bug you you can use steel straws and/or H2O2, very carefully with a syrenge, to locally remove and kill the sponge.

Thank you for the response! I'll keep an eye on the sponges then and if they get really bad / spread everywhere I'll go the H2O2 syringe route.
I'll check my parameters again. Maybe I just missed something. I can do a small water change too. See if that helps.

I think they are tunicates actually either way they are harmless.

Are the tubes hard or soft? They could be a variety of vermetid snail

I don't know. I haven't interacted with them yet. I have not seen anything come out of the the tubes though and they appear to be isolated to this one location / coral.
