Porites

I enjoy Porites. In fact they are the dominate species in my tank. I was wondering why I've not been able to find any of the encrusting varieties? Is it totally due to them being protected?

Ive seen them for sale through Jason Fox and (sometimes) WWC. Also, you may get a decent sized colony if you purchase Xmas tree worms.

Yea lets see the pics, they are not around much because of the indo ban and most of them are not that colorful.

The Darth Maul Porites is easy to get and hands down the most pure red Sps coral I've ever seen.

Purple Porites is also available in aquaculture circles. The one with the white polyps is the nicest.

Sand Dollar grows very fast and is common

Would love to see some pics, I have a neon green encrusting porites and a yellow branching, i love them both.

i have a xmas tree rock with porites..love it,and it came with a small crab that is evidently symbiotic,,very cool

yea I just bought a fist sized bisma worm rock for $30. looked like a steal to me. very cool coral
