Anyone have or use a portable RODI system? I found one on Amazon for around 80.00. I have seen another for 100.00.
It hooks to any sink. I saw a video of one in a bathroom sink filling buckets in a tub. Looked pretty simple to hook up and use. Anyone use one?
I can't set up a plumed one and I don't think I want to go through all that trouble if the portable works well..Besides, I only need 8 to 10 gallon every 10 days or so so its very doable!

Thoughts? opinions?

You don't need to plumb the bigger units you can buy adapters to hook it up to faucets. I use a aquafx barracuba system and run it in the bathroom, kitchen, or outside. Spend the money on the better units worth every penny.

+ 1. The adapters are cheap. Any unit can be "portable". Ones advertised as such tend to use cheap components.

I use Aquatic Buddie RO with DI filter and added a TDS monitor to it. I like it because I just hook it up to my garden hose and make the water I need, and I divert the waste water to different plants.

Do yourself a favor and buy a full size RO/DI system for around $125. It will filter better, last longer and actually cost much less over time since the replacements are less expensive and last much longer.

You can add a faucet adapter to any of them and have a portable system. The really are not much bigger than the so called portables that are all cobbled together and you will be much happier.

Thank you so much for the advice and the links! I really appreciate it.. I was thinking since I didn't have a very large amount of water that I will be needing weekly a smaller system would suffice but if it doesn't last or work as well then what the point! Thank you!
