Poseidon ozonizer black edition help

Hi I just got one of these. I set it to #3 so pretty low and connected it to my Skimmer. I also have a handheld ORP meter to check. Unfortunately either the Poseidon or the meter is defective but I have no idea which. Is the Poseidon silent?? Because it lights up but I cannot hear anything unless I put my ear right on it therevis a tiny buzz inside. If that's correct than likely my handheld is too crappy to monitor. Thanks !

The ORP meter is probably not a good indication if it is working or not - at least over the short term. If you disconnect it from the skimmer and blow air through it with an air pump you should get a noticeable odor. I use an air pump to assist blowing it into my Lifereef skimmer and if I turn off the skimmer (but not the air pump or ozone generator) I can smell the ozone at the top of the skimmer.

They don't make any noise
