Poseidon's NEW Adventure! ;)

Looks good bro! What are you using as a pump for the supply on the kalk reactor?

Nice work. Sorry to hear about your situation, but happy to see your tank has survived the move successfully.

For right now, a maxi jet 1200 that is valved down. The hole in the wall goes through to the kitchen where the mixing station is, I'll have to patch that when I move out. ;) I plan on a dosing pump eventually.

Thanks! The move actually went really well, so I can't complain about that.

I do have to figure out what is making my skimmer go bonkers and overflow every once in a while. I shut it off, clean the cup and fire it back up, and it runs just fine. Weird....

My skimmer has been kind of funny lately, too. Strange that just 2 weeks ago, it received its quarterly full disassembled cleaning....now it's being strange....don't get it..

Time for another update!

It is always fun to post pictures of new stuff. I borrowed a PAR meter from the local club to get a gage on where I am in light output, and the numbers didn't work out, so I sent a simple e-mail to Logan at Reef Breeders, and he was a pleasure to deal with. He suggested one of the 24" controllable fixtures to replace my current fixture, and shipped one out for me the next business day:

Very well packed!

Business side!

Much improved hanging kit, and a REMOTE?

Close up, this is a nice finished look!

And over the tank.

The iPhone REALLY dislikes the LED's, I'll have to get the good camera out soon. I still have the club PAR meter, and I am getting 400ish PAR at 11" under the water, with the blue channel at 70% and White channel at 40%, at the sand bed, I am getting 200ish PAR! :D

The controller took about 5 minutes to figure out, from there it is a joy to watch the tank fade in and fade out over time. If you haven't looked at this fixture yet, please do so!

Very nice!

Nice update Mike... The tank is looking good!

Thanks guys!

Most of the corals in the tank now are "new" from the swap. I can see a dramatic improvement in my Gobstoppers already though, I am impressed!

I really like that fixture. I was considering one myself, but I'm having a hard time giving up my T5.

Lets give this a try...

Great video Mike! I love the narration :) Tank is looking great. You are making me want to try out one of these fixtures myself, but I just love the feeling of having built my LEDs too much. Maybe Ill get one for the frag tank I am setting up. So what was wrong with your original fixture?

Thanks Marv!

Chameleon, LOL! The narration! DOH!!!

The original was not putting out the PAR as expected, Logan at Reef Breeders was AWESOME to deal with regarding the repair/replacement of the original.

Time for a PHOTO UPDATE!
