Poseidon's NEW Adventure! ;)

No doors, the idea is to keep it as open as possible. I am going to add a couple shelves, going for wood after scouts is over.

I got the back on, and a shelf in the middle of the stand. I went with 3/8" CHERRY Ply, and it looks awesome with a natural oil finish with the Cedar contrast.

I have to still cut out the shelf for the bottom, and I have to get some foam to set the tank on. Hopefully I'll get those done this afternoon.

I am a bit sore, and a bit sunburned from yesterday. (Changing shocks at 2pm in the sun not such a great idea.)

When we going to get an update pic? :D

Here it is Rev:

I cheaped out and took the pic with my phone. I like it MUCH better with the back and shelves, plus it is ROCK solid now!

Thanks!

So what do you think for overflow? I was going to drill the bottom, but now that I have 2 nice shelves, and a back, I am thinking more like a Glass-Holes style, and drill the back. I was planning about 500GPH through the sump, so a 700gph model would work well.

I vote for the glass holes style. Either way would work well though.

WHomp there it is!

Just a quick silly update.... I have removed the frame, and broken panel on the 30 long that will serve as the top sump. That took SO MUCH LONGER then I thought it would, the frames especially!

Overflow ordered from Glass-holes yesterday, should be here by the 7th.

I need a piece a glass, the overflow, new RO/DI filters and SALT. The list is getting shorter, hopefully the tank will be wet in a week!

Oh cool man can't wait!

Me either!

Forgot to mention, I ordered 35 pounds of Tonga branch (dry) that should be in this week as well. I have the substrate, will have most of the rock, have a line on a skimmer, and an LED light from a sponsor here. The next couple months should have the tank wet and cycled! :D :D :D

Rock is HERE!!!! I ended up with 30 pounds of dry tonga! The overflow is here, and I picked up a 3/4" bulkhead for the return too, next step is to drill the tank, put in the rock and sand.

Next up is RO filters/membrane and SALT!

Where did you get the rock?

Getting closer, nice to see the list getting shorter and closer to getting things set up.

More progress:

See anything strange?

X2

This will be the return from the sump, I opted for drilling rather than an up and over so that I can make a clean mesh top, for the Fairy Wrasses that will be an important addition!

Glass Holes overflow, 700gph model. I planned on about 500gph from the sump, so this one is perfect for me.

Next I am off the store for black paint, and to price out some 1/4" acrylic and EPDO foam....

Looks good Mike! You're so close to getting this thing wet!
