Poss Skewed Alk tests ?

Afternoon ,
I noticed that my test vial with my kit has a iodine color inside the vial .
Stupid question but I am thinking it could skew my tests a lil . Not sure how much ,
I tried to clean it with 5 % vinegar and the fluid turned pink.
I then used a cotton ball n chopstick the wipe the insides.
I now have it soaking in ro/di water .
I wish I would have kept my glass sera test vials but oh well .
Any thoughts ?

NVM ..
It was better to clean it in bleach then rinse in ro /di with prime .
Test was off several dkh ..

Bleach sounds like a good way to go.

What was the color from?

The stain left by the reagents for testing alk .
The test vials are plastic . Not glass or other material
I used to only rinse them in ro/di . I noticed the stain after a bit .

Make sure you rinse out bleach or Prime really well.

Or use better test vials . I am chunking the test kit after I get a Hanna (not that I trust that any better )..
