Hi I've not long started cycling my tank. Im 14 days in and I've noticed green appearing amongst the diatoms. Is this algae? My lights are running a day program ramping up to 30% max for 3 hours a day before ramping down.

Any test results from your tank?
How did you cycle this tank?
Diatoms are normal during cycling process, if no corals or fish is in the tank then lights aren't really needed to run on a program yet.

Yep, what you see is normal algae growth.
You still cycling your tank once your ammonia and nitrite are super low you can start stocking it up with one fish to cycle even further.
