Possible bacteria bloom on sherry pipe organ

I have a 120 gallon aquarium that is about 18 months old. The polyps on the sherry pipe organ over the last 24 hours have closed and a white film is growing on some of them. Earlier in the month I had what appeared to be cyno. On 12/1 I started treating with Dr Tims refresh. On 12/10 I started using the liquid waste away. On 12/19 I started using the double wast away gels. The tank was looking great. This mornings test indicated 0 nitrates.

Probably mold from die-off, I’d vac it up

What would cause it to die off so sudden? Would the mold grow in a manor of 2 to 3 hours?

The cyano treatments could’ve caused some die off. I’ve seen mold develop on something dead in my tanks overnight, it can develop pretty quick

Should I remove the dr Tim’s waste away gel strips? The entire coral closed up in a manor of about 4 hours. The picture I originally posted showed some of the polyps still out. They are totally closed up now. I am setting up to do a 10% water change in the morning. The only major change was adding the dr Tim’s gel strips after the cyno treatment with refresh turn waste away liquid.

Its what is known as calothrix which is similar to cyano. Try to blow loose with gentle bursts from a turkey baster. may or may not loosen, If not, you will have to scrub clean with a firm toothbrush and peroxide dip

Thank you. It’s on my main rock surface therefore I cant remove the rock from the tank. Is there something that I can treat the entire tank with? I also noticed that the bubble tip anenmie closed up.
