Hi R2R-

I can't remember but is it safe to feed metro/focus to fish in QT while dosing kanaplex and furan-2 to the tank water? I have a starcki damsel with a dark spot on his body. I can't get a good pic of it bc he never stays still. I believe it may be a bacterial infection of some sort...

Yes, it's safe to mix metroplex with those antibiotics. Is there a reason you are feeding it vs. dosing the water? If you are using it to treat the same infection you can just dose it with the other medications, you don't have to feed it.

I have a pencil wrasse (Pseudojuloides cerasinus) in the QT as well and was concerned about her reaction to all the meds at once. Im fine with dosing all at the same time if she can handle it. Would I just dose all three every 48hrs after my water changes then?

You can dose or food soak metro while using Kanaplex and Furan-2. Dosing metro in the water treats brook & uronema; food soaking treats internal parasites (worms).

You can dose them all in water, they are similar as they are considered wide spectrum antibiotic. Sometimes its recommended to add all three together in case its severe infection

Yep, you can dose them together (or spaced over a few hours if you want to be safe) every 48 hours after a water change.
