Possible barnacle ID?

I’ve had my tank for a few months and got a few corals the past two months and I moved them around the other day and just saw this tiny little structure that looks like a barnacle. Could this have come from one of my corals?

My brain squeaked out "Balanus" but seems like that line has been renamed? But I do think that is a barnacle (shell) but I think the animal is missing? Not a typical hitchhiker as a laval animal more than likely it came attached to that rock.
