Hi all. I have had my Valantine Puff for over a year now with no problems, but it now seems to have lost its sight. It is also not eating. I have checked the ammonia level as I read this could be the cause but it is fine. It is also staying mostly in one part of the tank when it used to be all over it. If any one can give me some advice I would be most greatful

welcome aboard the r2r board. hello from PA!

what are your water parameters? what did you test with? any other tank inhabitants? if so, do any of them display any similar behaviors? any changes to the tank recently(ideally before the "blindness")? any other identifiable symptoms?

@Jay Hemdal @vetteguy53081 any idea?

Please post pic under white lighting and is it one eye or both?
If one, likely injury and treatable with Maracyn- not Maracyn oxy

The only thing that has changed is the temp as it has been verry hot here in the UK and the tank temp went up to the high 27's. In the tank there are two clown fish, a Reef Beauty, yellow box fish, blue cheek goby a few snails, a cleaner shrimp and an urchin. Ammonia, Nitrate and Nitrite all good plus Phosphate is as normal. Test are from NT Labs. Just di a 20% water change and water temp has come down to normal at 25.5. The puffer has been swimming about more since the water change, but not yet taking food as normal.

Thanks. At the moment I am having a problem with my lights and I can not change the settings. Saving up for a new set. I can not see any injury . Just feed them all and you can see it senses the food but can not find it.
