Hello all,
I've been searching forums all night, and hoping I can get some specific advice here.
Long story short, I brought home a small perc clown from a very "trusted" LFS and sadly decided not to QT. Big mistake. Week later our older larger clown has died, brook I think (white slime, heavy breathing and losing skin within 24 hours). Small new clown not showing symptoms (oddly). No other fish showing symptoms.
Fish in REEF tank are: hippo tang, yellow tang, sand sifting goby, 6line wrasse, cardinal, and the new little perc.
From what I understand I need to get all fish out, QT for at least 6-8 weeks while the DT is fallow. What treatment would you recommend for those fish all at once in a 30g QT tank during the fallow time? Ideally I'd like to treat for Ich as well, because once in a while our hippo has a white spot or two which makes me think we are in the "ich management" category, but I don't know if I can treat both at once.
thanks for any advice, its very much appreciated
