I woke up this morning to see 2 of my corals partially or completely munched, and the way they were eaten makes me think it wa something along the lines of a snail or limpet.

(Micromussa completely eaten)

(Lithophyllon has a clear area of damage)
I remember getting this guy off some TBS live rock, and was wondering if this could be the culprit. At first, it just looked like a plain limpet, but now I'm noticing some stripes on its shell. Can anybody ID it and/or tell me if I should get it in the sump?

Never seen limpets on my zoas or sps, must have 6 in a 11 gallon tank.
Do snails or limpets eat corals?
Some limpets apparently eat corals... something ate my 2 LPS, but it was just a guess at what did it based on how i saw this guy near the afflicted corals right before I went to sleep, along with the pattern of how the coral was eaten.

Sps mentioned, but not lps

That’s pretty big. The limpets I have in my tank that came in as hitch hikers, and I have hundreds of them, barely get bigger than about 3/8 of an inch. Mine are pretty small and they don’t bother anything. I don’t know for sure if that one is bad, but if I saw that in my tank, it would definitely go into the sump.

The one I saw is now sumped- I recall having one more, but I have since moved my tank twice so it could've died or just gotten lost. They were both between 1/2" and 1", which I now realize is huge for a limpet.

I found the other one and put it in the sump as well. It was in that same area as the last one which is right near the consumer corals- I don’t know if they’re smart enough to go back to where they found a meal or if they kinda just roam around until they find something
