I just wanted to post a message stating that there may be delays on PM responses or any type of response from me.
Last night we had a really bad house fire and I will be tied up with that for the next several days.
We made it out of the house OK but the fire destroyed about everything...
If you send PM's or emails trust me I will get back to you but the response time may not be as fast as usual.
Gary

Sorry to hear what happened and glad you and family are ok.. Hope everything else will be ok and for sure fellow reefers will understand your delay..

Wow, sorry to hear about the fire and loss. Glad you and the family are safe!

Sorry to hear and the fire. I am glad to hear that you and you family are ok.

Sorry to hear Gary such a horrable expeirance to have happen......Prayers to you and your family.

Wow, sorry to hear about this. I'm sure everyone will understand.

Thanks everyone!! I hope to get back to a normal schedule within the week...

Sorry to hear that man. That truly sucks. As long as everyone is safe the house can be rebuilt and the other stuff can be replaced. It is only concrete and wood. Can't replace flesh. Just think now you can make the house bigger and better. Take some of the insurance money and build a killer fish room! lol

Had to throw that in there just to lighten the mood.

Hopefully Gary owned less than his house was worth. If he is like me, his house is worth WAY LESS than what I owe.

We are in good shape when it comes to the house. We owe much less than what its worth. The insuarance will take care of the repairs but it will take months.

It started as a vey smal issue. Something happened with the furnace and it caught fire at about 3:30am. Of couse we were sleeping at the time and luckly the dog woke us up.
I saw a small fire by the furnace but the house was already full of smoke. My wife, the dog and I went out the bedroom window (our house is a single story) and I ran around the house to the front to get my son out. Once all of were out the neighbor called the fire department.
The fire department put out the fire (we thought) and cleared the house of the smoke. There was VERY little damage! The heating unit needed to be replaced and some drywall repairs.
After that was over we went into the house to get some person items because the house was not very secure.
Then we went to a hotel for the night. The next morning we got to the house to find most of the windows boarded up and a ton of our furnature in the front yard that hard been burned.
Sometime after we left the fire reignited and burned for a couple of hours without anyone knowing. Of course during this time everything was destroyed...

Sorry to hear that. Glad everyone made it out safe. Let this be a reminder to everyone to check your smoke detectors and replace batteries! My cousins house caught fire a couple years ago and they had no working smoke detectors. Thankfully everyone made it out safely due to my uncle waking up. My one cousin's room was right next to the room that caught fire. Unfortunately they lost their pet chinchillas and cat in the fire though.

It sounds like your dog earned its title of "man's best friend!"

I'm so sorry to hear of your family's troubles, but the important thing is that everyone's okay. Belongings can be replaced, and, with any luck, the insurance company will help you get back to a somewhat normal routine soon. Best wishes to you and to your family, sir.

I'm so sorry to hear about this fire. I've been through floods, never fire, and understand the hassle that you are going through. My family and I will be praying for you!
