Hey I just got a microscope. Very hard to focus to get a pic so I hope I can get some help in determining what exactly they are and how I can beat them. Have been a problem for probably about 6 weeks now. Any help is much appreciated.

I actually just looked at this to try and help me identify and it’s really hard. Also don’t know any solutions offered.

My phos dropped to 0 which is probably why this maybe happened. It’s been at .03 now and I clean the rocks, dump the skimmer, and change floss constantly but have had 0 effects. It disappears off the sand bed at night but I don’t think a UV would help. I’m at a loss

My eyes aren't that good with scope pics. But I would get nutrients up to acceptable levels, cut light to 6 hours with blue and uv only no whites. Siphon sand daily into a filter sock. Sand sifting cleaners may help too. Some have success with filter floss attached to a clip over night in the tank also if it's in the water column. Dose PNS probio which is a natural heterotrophic bacteria that eliminates organic waste that feed algae on the sand.

fortunately, this is an easy ID even with fuzzy pics.
Ostreopsis.
