i’ve got a fox face that recently developed almost clear looking spots on its back fin, i do not know how long ago but it wasn’t there 2 days ago.

Welcome to Reef2Reef !

Those could be nips from another fish, what other fish are in the tank with it?
Has the tank ever been treated for flukes?
How long have you had the fish?

I’ve had this fish for about a month now. It was getting picked on by my only other tang my scopis tang but that was only for the first couple days, i haven’t seen him be aggressive towards the fox face recently. No i haven’t treated this tank for flukes at all but i do treat it for ick every so often just incase.

Well, any bite marks from the scopas should have healed by now.

You might consider that it could be flukes. You can dose your tank with Prazipro 2x, 10 days apart. Most aquariums handle that treatment without issues, you just need to add aeration, and dose the drug accurately to your actual water volume (minus rock displacement for example).

I wondered if it might be flukes. Could try a fresh water dip to see. However, this sentence requires explanation. How do you treat for ich every so often? I think I see a coral in the picture and there’s no effective reef-safe treatment for ich….
