Hey everyone, I did a freshwater dip on my royal gramma after he started flashing at rocks, and I noticed this opaque thing after completing the freshwater dip, and I believe this is flukes but I just wanted another opinion. What do you think?

Looks like it. Hard to tell for sure. Did you introduce any new fish recently? Something that could've brought it in? If it is indeed flukes, it looks like only one was on him. You might be lucky enough to catch it early. Keep an eye on your fish and be ready to order some prazipro to treat the tank just in case they started reproducing.

Already got him and my foxface in QT with prazi just dosed in. Thanks.

Looks like a lone fluke, good catch.

Definitely get your hands on prazi or some other fluke treatment and keep watch for more flashing.
Luckily got him and my foxface in QT with prazi. I saw him farting through rocks in a weird way and when I looked at him closely, he had a huge translucent lump on his tail and that’s what popped off.

It could be a single Neobenedenia fluke, but it looks a bit elongated. Prazi may not control it completely, Neo is very tough. I don't recall ever having just one Neo show up in a dip, usually I see dozens - you must have caught it early.

Yea, true. I literally just saw him doing it today.

+1 on fluke.
