Real quick, I bought an Aussie gold in February and it was doing great for a full month before I added an emerald crab who had his way with it overnight. Today I’m doing a water change and notice these little guys. Did I have a coral spawn event and if so, isn’t that… Not supposed to be a thing?? Oh they’re also all over my sump..

Mybe that's the way to frag gold torches, you get an emerald crab to splice them up and the fragments regrow into new torch colonies? Very cool!

I’ll tank a sump one please! :beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes: Just kidding, very cool that the emerald crab propagated it for you. I’m guessing little bits landed and took root so to speak.
I have so many rainbow and Chicago bubble tips if you’re in florida stop by and grab one!

Very cool. I’ve heard of a vendor here, I can’t recall which one, that had a torch spawn but I don’t think it’s that commons.

Wow, I never heard of this before! Please keep us updated with how the little ones do.
Will do! I’m not changing a thing in here. I’m curious how this went down as the only torches I had was an Indo gold and and Aussie gold. So either they spawned some hybrid thing or the torch spawned at the coral shop I bought it from and it let the fertilized eggs go in my tank.

It spawned those, I’d take the emerald crab out those are true aquaculture torches
