I have had a chocolate tang for about a week now. The fish appears healthy, is active, eats well and would otherwise have nothing wrong with it except it has developed white ich like bumps down the lateral line on its left side only. I do not believe this is ich, as they are precisely placed on the lateral line. I have two other tangs in the tank, a tomini and desjardini, neither with symptoms.
Is this HLLE, or possibly some viral or maybe a secondary bacterial infection from HLLE? I'm removing carbon now, I do not believe I need it anymore and will just run GFO from now on.
Left side with the bumps
Right side clear of any bumps
