I saw these guys start on a frag about 3 months ago I think they may be a type of hydroid. I tossed the plug they were on but apparently it was too late. They have spread all over the tank. Due to their small size they aren't too noticeable. They have grown into thicker clumps in the higher flow areas where they catch food like a lps or polyp would.

They are brown with a white fan shaped head. The ones with one head are about a centimeter long. They do not sting my hand when I touch them. I don't believe they are any type of worm because I did a round of prazi a month ago for white stringy poo from my clownfish. The clownfish is healthy and the tank is a 8 month old 20gal nano. These photos are 2-5 times magnified shot with an iPhone Thanks for any help.

Sigh....

I guess there is no ideal way to rid myself of them. I am going to try and cut back on the feeding and manually remove as many as I can.
Those are the best two tools against them you have;)
