Possible ich not sure

I posted on here about my pink tail triggerfish before like 5 days about his white spots (pic included here too) if it’s ich I thought they drop off in about a week and my trigger had the white spots for about 9 days now he is swimming just fine occasionally I see him just sitting above a air stone his eating is phenomenal almost like nothing is hurting him and my water is perfect no ammonia nothing ph is 8.1 and I see him mouth breathing too. It can’t be velvet because I hear that kills super fast and he had the spots for 9 days now and you can see his eye is cloudy his other eye is good any help to find out what this is would be amazing

He is also the only one with it the other trigger doesn’t the lionfish is fine and the wrasse is good all are eating very well just the ich spots are on him a little long for ich I’m so lost here

Me too, but I would at a minimum feed live mussels or clams to boost dietary nutrients/biotic stimulus for boosting immunity. 9 days is a long time but hopefully the sickness is sub lethal and everyone thrives. GL!

Edit, SPeaking of light, UV filtration might improve the recovery expectations.

I would get him in a hospital tank asap. Know that I have had success with using Hydroplex and a 10 minute SALTwater dip to get the parasites off and give immediate relief with low stress. Seachem Cupramine will treat Ich, Brooklynella, flukes and velvet. Neither of these meds are reef safe.

Non reef say is fine I have a fish only tank what is a SALTwater dip?

Follow the instructions on the medicine. Reefers sometimes do a dip using freshwater. The Hydroplex dip uses the saltwater in your tank. You mix a small amount up in a container or baggy. Therefore, it is very low stress.

Cupramine has copper. If you ever intend to have coral you do not want to use it in your DT. It will also kill invertebrates.

You probably want to take your tank fallow. See stickies on Disease Forum here on R2R.

If I saw the picture out of context I would say 100% that it has ich. However, I can't reconcile that with another trigger, a wrasse and a lionfish all being symptom free after this amount of time - they should start showing spots as well by now. So - that clouds my diagnosis. Still, it looks external, so I would think it could transmit from fish to fish, whatever it is.

Can you post a short video of this trigger, plus a couple of the other fish, taken under white light?
Are there invertebrates in this tank or do you have some freedom to treat the whole tank?

That sure looks like ich to me. Individual spots will come and go, but the fish can have spots all the time.
Wrasses seem to be really resistant to skin stuff...must be the thick slime coat. I don't know about he lion.

If the tank doesn't have corals or other inverts, I'd be tempted to try hyposalinity in the display.
