My clownfish started acting strange a few days ago and low and behold this shows up. I did a freshwater dip yesterday and I got some Paragaurd and just gave it a 1 hr dip this morning. It seems to be swimming around the tank and more alert now. Any ideas? It looks like ich to me but just wanted to be sure! Thanks for your help!

Agreed, looks like ich.

It's about 3" long. I don't see any gooey or slime just white spots that almost look like spikes. I am really only noticing the spots on the top half of it's body. Do you think the paraguard dips will help?

Can you quarantine?

I currently do not have a quarantine tank setup. I have a second clown and he seems ok with 1 or 2 spots that i can see, though he is white the spots are a little less obvious :)

Update- after 2 days of 1+ hr dips in paragaurd, the clown is looking MUCH better! thank you to those who helped ID ick :)
