Possible ich?

So after my first ich disaster I decided to QT all new fish. Two weeks ago I bought a red headed Solon wrasse and the next day I happened to notice a white spec on it’s fin. I do treat all incoming fish now but this is 15 days ago and spec is still there? Do ich stay latched on this long? Or is it possible this is just something that is actually on this fish??

It’s possible it could be Lympho. A picture under white lights will help us ID a little better!

I have tried several times. But obviously with it’s fine constantly moving it’s very difficult to get a clear image. But that would suck! I guess I’ll just have to see more show up.

To hard to tell to be honest. I would just keep on eye on him. For one spot on the fin and no spots anywhere else it might be unlikely you are dealing with ich.

It does sound more like Lymphocystis. If its there more than a few days it makes more sense.

From what I understand there is no way to get rid of it though? Does it mean this little guy is doomed to die in my QT?

No just feed high quality food and it will go away. He will be just fine!! Lympho usually subsides post QT treatment once in main DT with good quality water.

What is considered high quality foods exactly? And Lympho doesn’t attack other fish like Ich? I have one other fish in QT that seems fine but 7 fish in DT that I really don’t feel like risking health problems to.

Frozen food usually, especially when soaked in vitamins such as selcon or zoecon. Lympho is harmless 95% of the time and isnt infectious

I dont know if you went fallow after your first outbreak but if you didnt ich is still in your tank and any fish added or living in it will get and have ich.

Yes I did , placed them in QT for almost 4 months and then completely cleaned out and recycled QT tank after I put them back in DT But I appreciate all posts!
