a blue tang I bought got little bumps on a week after I got it so I put her in QT with .5 copper thinking its ich, its been 3 weeks so I was about to put her back as she had no bumps on her when I noticed she has these odd white spots on her. its also possible its just from the stress of accumulating her.

p.s its not powdery more like the spots lost color like scars or something

Copper is either 30 days straight or 14 days with transfer to another sterile QT for observation. Did you ever do a FW dip? I don’t think I see velvet though.

yes before putting her in the copper, but my guess is It just want long enough so ill do another 3 weeks and see what happens thank you guys for your help

Copper needs to be run for either 30 days straight or 14 days with a transfer to a sterile tank.

This is in line with what you would see secondary to an ich or velvet affliction.

How long has the fish been in therapeutic copper. This could be a secondary infection.

Agree, tough to tell for sure in the pics but it’s pretty common for fish to have some skin issues after copper. Especially tangs. I’d put it in a clean QT for a day or two without copper to see if it improves or starts getting worse.

This. I wouldn’t do anything unless it seems life threatening, continue treatment as usual.
