Found this last night when all the lights were off from getting home late and turning them back on to feed the fish. It was on the front glass of the tank. Any idea what it could be?!?

Cucumber.

KJ nailed it....... it is a Florida sea cucumber known as known as the White Sandsifting Cucumber and the Caribbean Sea Cucumber. Referred to as sand-sifting cucumber. While most cucumbers extend feeding oral tentacles into the water to catch free-floating plankton, these cucumbers move along the bottom and use their sticky oral tentacles like mops to collect detritus, bacteria, micro algae and other food particles. Many will burrow into the substrate or extend their bodies out from the protection of rock work to feed.

Small cuke. The individual tube feet and sand sifting tentacles give it away.

So you would say it’s safe to put back in the tank?

Probably but my choice would be sump where there is plenty of detritus
