So I’m trying to make a plan for adding fish to my 55 gallon tank, right now it’s just 5 lbs of live rock, 40ish pounds of dry rock, 2 nassarius snails, and 1 nemo clown. These are fish I want to add and the approximate order in which I think I’m going to add them, any input on the order and the possible issues I could have would be appreciated.

In order I plan on adding next, (this would be over a couple months time never adding more than 2 fish at a time, also will add a couple more snails and a cleaner goby)

Coral Beauty Dwarf Angel

Sleeper Gold Head Goby (sand sifter)

Some kind of Dottyback (Puple, Neon, or BiColor)

Probably 1 maybe 2 more undecided fish here unless this would over stock my tank when I’m all done

Some type of starfish (peaceful and pretty)

Six Line Wrasse (adding at the end or very near end)

Longnose Hawkfish (adding at the end)

Can anyone recommend any prettier dwarf Angels? I like the blue and yellow look but seems like those are Normal size and that wouldn’t be fair to the fish to put it in my tank.

I’m trying to add the fish that seem to have a higher tendency to be aggressive towards the end although all these are ranked no higher then semi aggressive as far as temperament goes.

Also I have a lid on my tank but it’s a plastic grid I made. The squares in the grid are a half inch wide and across, are any of these known jumpers gonna be able to jump out of a half inch by half inch square?

Any other suggestions for cool looking fish (especially cool shades of blue) that would go well in this tank?

Thanks again for all your input, this forum has helped me out so much!

Still new to all of this but I have heard that your goby and that hawkfish are well known jumpers. Will leave the rest to the veterans.

Your fire fish will be able to get through that grid. So will the six line and dotty back if they are smaller. Also I would be careful. You have chosen a lot of highly territorial fish and compared to their natural habitat your tank is very small. I had to remove a six line from my 120 because he went nuts on some of my fish.

I heard wrasses and the longnose both they can terrotial but it seems like if the fish is a little more terrotoial adding them in at the end can help reduce the odds of aggression as it's not like new fish are coming into their place to live but it certainly doens't mean they won't be aggressive. If I see agression I'll have to pull the bully out. Thanks for your input. Any other thoghts out there?
