I saw that you can use coffee filters or other filters they sell at hardware stores to siphon water with paint in it. I would put one of these at the end of a hose and siphon the water through it.
I'll give this a tryWell since its obviouslt an oil based paint, would have just disolved in the water otherwise, start a siphon into a bucket that goes into several filters, then have a return pump in the bucket putting the water back into your tank, keep changing the filters as they fill with paint. If you scrub the rocks with a nylon brush you should be able to suspend and clean out most of it
I have been meaning to hard plumb the tank. I'm going to pull all the rock and clean it. I'll soak all the equipment in vinagar and scrub it all down.I may just be OCD, but I'd start over.
Rock is totally saveable, just give it a muratic acid bath, followers by a LC soak.
You can siphon out into filters all day, but what about the inside of plumbing, pumps, wavemakers, sand, the insides of the rock... list goes on. It seems to me that continued leeching well be a big issue.
I hate being the Debbie downer, but it's better than replacing fish for them to die all over.
. I'm well over 4000 in just fish loss not to mention all the work to get it back upI just can't believe this. I'm so sad about my eel for the most part. He was great, he would let me had feed him and clean the inside of his mouth. Such a nice fish. I'm well over 4000 in just fish loss not to mention all the work to get it back up
