I noticed my clownfish had a long stringy poo. Most my research points to a possible internal parasite/worms. I'e seen it twice now about 2-3 weeks apart. The fish seems completely happy and fine and feeding well. The only things in the tank are 2 clownfish, a hermit and 2 snails. I don't have a qt tank so not really looking at that route. Should i treat the food and feed them? And what is the best treatment? Or wait and see if it happens again? It's been about 4 days since i saw it last time and it wasn't as long as the 1st time.

Try some prazi pro. It is 100% safe to put in the display. Just remove carbon and what not.

Long and stringy and "white" is what we look for. If the color is mixed, it could just be diet. And even if it is long, stringy and white, we look for other symptoms like eats like crazy and has a pinched in stomach.

I had the same exact issue pop up a few weeks ago: 2 cloys great otherwise but w/ white stringy poop. I followed @Humblefish's recommendation of medicating their food 1 tablespoon frozen food + 1 scoop of Focus + 1 scoop of general cure (Seachem Focus comes w/ the scooper).

I've been feeding this to my clowns in the DT - no corals but 1 cleaner, 1 hermit & a handful of snails. They've all been fine. But, as always, your mileage may vary

Maybe I'll try the food method if it doesn't harm anything. They don't "look" sick at all. I did notice the last time I saw it, it wasn't completely white. Was a little brown mixed in and not as long. They have been in the tank for a month now. Maybe I need to change up their diet a bit? Been mainly just feeding flakes. PE Mysis flakes.

Is this just diet? one of my clowns keeps "eating" but spits everything back out.
found this poo in the tank today.
