Thanks NowGlazeIT.
I treated using general cure for a week (bath) and I didn’t see any signs so I put him back in the DT. He was there for about a week or two until I noticed the white poo was still there and he wasn’t eating. I’ve put him back in Quarantine and tried feeding medicated food (General cure) soaked with garlic but he won’t eat anything. Any recommendations how to get him to eat? I’ve tried pellets and frozen brine shrimp soaked in garlic. PS Since he wouldn’t eat I have him in a prazipro bath.
Prazi only needs a day maybe less to take effect so after that I recommend a 50% water change and focus on good water quality. Keep an eye on amonia and if you can’t get him to eat then binding things like selcon or garlic to the frozen foods and powder medication using a binder like seachem’s focus helps. He may just be really stressed or the parasite is suppressing the appetite.
If the fish won’t eat, I’d treat the quarantine with metroplex for 10-14 days.
I mix a frozen medley of foods, microwave, drain them, and add selcon/zoecon/vitachem (or all 3), and then add metroplex and focus to the food and feed for 10-14 days, when they eat.
