I see a couple of what looks like monti eating nudibranch and others hard to make out given the water effect

So I just noticed that these bugs are starting to eat my acros .
Were the Acropora healthy before?
When people have reports of these “white bugs” congregating on coral, the usual response is that these are harmless ostracods attempting to scavenge on dying coral/cleaning their surfaces, but now I am beginning to question if this is really the complete story; sadly there don’t seem to be many articles on this topic. Perhaps this is akin to “red bugs” and “black bugs” which are actually pest copepods.

Looks like a known parasitic copepod that lives in polyps of stony coral known as tegastes acroporanus. Only thing that takes them down is interceptor pill with multiple treatments

Take my advice with a grain of salt since I haven’t dealt with either of these pests.
Not sure if it’s Tegastes acroporanus (red bugs) since these seem to more yellowish-red, at least from the online images I am seeing, but perhaps interceptor will work as it is said to work against a wide range of crustaceans (which ostracods are).

Yes all where healthy starting to color up with crazy plyop extension. I’ve seen a lot of post about interceptor doing the job but I don’t have any pets and that’s a prescription from a vet so I’m not sure what I’m going to do.

Not sure if ostracods eat corals as @WheatToast thinks more to the story other than they beneficial pods, imo they probably could and do if they want to/conditions are a certain way,I know in my tank basically a war zone and nearly everything wants to eat everything ha ha
I've got a few different types off ostracods In my tank and mainly see them in sand and on rocks and occasionally see on corals, think they just eating algae and the likes.
Now the little black and white bugs in thread I had above, still unsure what they are and don't see nowhere near the amount I once seen, green slimer still hanging on by a thread with just tips alive but only just.

There's also a Dr g's product that I got suggested in thread above, maybe that's easier for you to get than interceptor.

Good luck
