Hello all, wasn't sure where exactly to post this so I apologize in advanced if this is the wrong forum. So I found this anemone on my live rock when I first put it in the tank, never really thought anything of it. But I had a friend of mine tell me it could be a bad fish stinging anemone. I grabbed a quick pic in hopes of something letting me know what it is.

They do look like majano anemone, or worse, aiptasia. Both are bad, can overgrow and sting your livestock. You can Google them. Peppermint shrimp, angels, matted filefish...these are reputed to eat them, but its also reported that it's hit or miss whether they eat them or bother other coral. I use a Majano wand to kill them where I can get at them.

Yup, looks like Aiptasia. If you just found the one, your lucky. Shoot it straight into the stalk using lemon juice and a medical syringe.
