Possible Sponge Outbreak?

Hey all, newer reefer here. In the last few weeks I've noticed what I think are sponges in different areas of the tank. Could anyone ID this particular type? I've removed one but they seem to be popping up everywhere, is there a good method for removal? Or will they starve out the corals? Thanks for your time.

Looks like colonial hydroids
Take a 2-sided sponge and grab them off with rough end and discard
