I've been considering getting into the hobby and starting a 75 gallon aquarium. What I have in mind is a sort of predator tank, fuzzy dwarf lion fish, snowflake eel and a pair of maroon clownfish (would probably also get a anemone for it). I know invertebrates such as shrimps are off the tables, but corals aren't, and I was thinking maybe having some soft corals. I understand the anemone needs good lighting.
My main question is with the maroon clownfish, is it safe with the snowflake eel and the lion fish? From what I researched, they get fairly big and are quite aggressive. Also, is the lion fish safe with the eel?
Thank you very much

Sorry, just saw there's a whole thread for this.

Welcome to reef2reef !!
On top of the nem need good lighting they need a stable and mature tank, a tank 6+ months is suitable. Did the other thread answer all your questions ?

No, it's still waiting approval. Thanks for the info about the anemone, a bubble tip is best for beginners, right?

eels are a bit on the dirty side especially when they grow and if you feed them well so plan accordingly and bubble tip are good for beginners but make sure tank is cycled and established before either are added

I was thinking of adding the eel only once the maroon clownfish were decent sized and after introducing the lion fish.

If you feed your lion fish it will probably grow large enough to eat most maroon clownfish. The lion is a crazy fish predator that will engulf whatever it can.

Eels also eat fish, but I've heard of folks who have never lost any of their fish by keeping the eel regularly fed. Not so with the lions.

Even a fuzzy dwarf lion fish? From what I’ve read they don’t get much bigger than the maroon.
Thanks for welcoming me.
