Possible teddy bear crab got my carpenter wrasse??

I recently came across what looks like a teddy bear crab, never ever seen it before until the other night. No additional stock in the tank for ages.
Then all of a sudden my carpenter wrasse is dead. Could the crab be the culprit? all of the wrasse head inside and eyes gone!! Pics below.
Absolutely nothing wrong with my parameter.
The wrasse used to sleep and hide in rock crevices. So possibly attacked while sleeping??

He probably ate it when it was dead, I doubt it was able to kill a healthy wrasse. To be fair, you won't really known whether or not it killed it mostly because either way it would've ate the fish. If you have a sump, you might as well move the crab there.

True, It’s just all very coincidental. I don’t have a sump and I cannot find that crab for the life of me anywhere.
The wrasse was alive and kicking and eating amphipods at 11pm and by 7am he’s a gonna. ‍
