Possible Tunicate?

Hi All,
Any ideas? It has an opening at either end which closes up if disturbed, it's growing on the dark side of a large zoa colony.

I'm reasonably sure it's not a sponge, despite it's appearance in the picture it has a leathery skin.

I trust @KJ. The middle looks like a sponge to me. The soft tissue on the ends from the image resembles a Tunicate for sure. It is very cool either way.

Do sponges typically close up to the touch? The only ones I've had in past tanks are the pineapple sponges so, I've not really got any experience with them.

Reacting to touch or things getting close sounds closer to a tunicate.

Just prodded it again ;Hilarious......... It closes both siphons pretty rapidly when touched.

Sponges don't react to touch. Definitely a tunicate. They are pretty cool in a tank. I have 3 orange ones that are about 3" long.

I believe this is some type of sponge. I had these before extra natural filtration for your tank nothing to worry about

i have a pink sponge that does kind of contract when disturbed. maybe it's not sponge?
