has anyone ever successfully bread a tomato and a clarkii because a friend has both and they are laying eggs

Interesting, Hopefully he plays his cards right and ends up breeding idk..a red clarkii!!! Please post pics,if he isnt a member, the eggs hatch and the fry live!

PICTURES OR THIS DIDNT HAPPEN!lol,jk,Lee's line

Im interested in this...

I really don't think they should be raised. keep the clownfish pure :)

If the young survive it'll be interesting to see if they are fertile, or if they are sterile like mules. It could either lead to some new breeding clownfish varieties, or be a dead-end. Interesting either way.

Wow, a Clark's / Tomato would be one NASTY clown . I think the cross pairings are fine as long as they never make it loose into the wild. We wouldn't have half the dog breeds we do now without crossing breeds.

they do it in the wild (not necessarily this pair), other clowns sperm crossfertilize in the currents, it was the main story of this months CORAL magazine. they had a blue line and a skunk that crossed and made a bonnett clown.

they have done this and im hoping some survive im taking the next clutch to the florida institute of technology aquaculture lab for better success with the fry and will keep everyone posted with the results
