Possibly a parasite?

Not exactly sure if it’s anything or not. But noticed this white area on my sailfin a few days ago. Wife is thinking it’s Ick, however I’m thinking it’s possibly a nip from another fish. But figured I’d ask some more experienced keepers. It’s right in the center, on the very end of the tail. No other spots on him or any other fish.

Its impossible to see anything with this dark Blue lighting. Please repost under bright white light intensity. Cant see clearly but may be lymphocystis which is a viral condition and not disease.

I believe @vetteguy53081 is correct - it looks like lymphocystis - if what you're talking about is on the edge of the tail. Can you see other spots elsewhere on the body. FWIW one way to help determine whether it is ich or lymphocystis is if the spots are in one location one day and then 1-2 days later in another spot etc. That would tend to be ich - lymphocystis tends to say longer, and though new spots can occur, the old ones do not fall off quickly.
