Could be from water that pooled up from a spill over when cleaning. I would be worried if it was a solid line. Spots are probable not an issue. To be sure, clean the area and tape a paper towel over it, keep checking. Dry towel good, wet towel bad.

Let’s hope for i the dry one.

What's the difference between solid lines and spots?

it if was truly leaking, it would try to pool up, but collect on the connection between the glass and the stand, making a line. i also think what you have are just stray droplets of water.

I cleaned it up with fresh water and dried it up. Let's hope it does not come back. I Will keep u guys posted.

Salt creep is a small leak. A real leak is running water. Been dare done that!
So what did u do when u have salt creep? In thinking it's just from a splash. Do u think it's a leak or a splash from the picture I pit up

Don’t worry or overthink it. Salt creep is not necessarily a leak. Salt creep can be a leak, but if it is a leak most likely it will be wet.

Anywhere you can have evaporation, spray such as from an air stone, a spill that was not dried up, there will be salt. It is just the left over salt after the water evaporates. My glass lids are crusted in salt around the edges.

The time to be concered is when the area is wet

Looks like splash/dripping off arm/hand. I get that all the time. Salt creep will get continually get more ugly on a bad glue joint/missed glue joint(plumbing) or a bad seal/loose bulkhead. Most of the time that is not a problem, just need to make adjustment to plumbing. This is the reason I hate rimless and splashing. I am going euro brace from now on. Splash away.
Most of the time if a seal in a glass tank goes. It goes from nothing to running water. Depends how bad. Full blow out to just running down tank over time. Of course just watch it. It would fill the full brace if bad tank in my mind. Creep wouldn't stop leak at bottom of tank since pressure is greatest.
So overview is just from dripping off arm/hand. Get that alot if your a true reefer and in tank way too often.

When you have to stick your hands in your tank, water sometimes drips down the glass. Once the bead of water gets to the bottom and collects it dries up, leaving the salt. Water evaporates, not salt. It's why we top off with RODI only water.

I'd clean it out with a toothpick and some water. Then monitor to see if it comes back.
