Have a possum wrasse for 5 days he was proskiddish at fist but the last few days been pretty active and was active earlier today and ate brine about a hour ago but just noticed him laying around is this normal or should be concerned ?

It sounds like good advancement for him to have gone from skiddish to active and feeding after he felt more comfortable in the tank. I have not had a possum wrasse, so I'm not sure if they have odd erratic behavior patterns. But, If the fish isn't showing any outward signs of disease or illness and no labored breathing, I would just monitor the situation day to day.

They are a very cryptic fish, but will come out more over time. Just make sure no other tankmates are harassing him and he should be okay. They cruise your rock work looking for food (small crustaceans, pods), but will accept prepared foods. Wetmorella's are one of my favorite wrasses/fish.

Echoing other posters, it’s likely normal. They really spend a lot of time hiding and living in the rockwork. Sometimes I won’t see mine for multiple days and then he will pop out like all it normal.

great fish!

32g lots of rock lots of caves and arches

he was cruising rock all week and disappear at night yesterday was the first time I seen him just stay in one spot and lay there he eventually moved but he just layed in the new spot once lights went blue he disappeared I haven’t seen him yet today hopefully he’s ok I was really excited and waited quite a while for a Pygmy or possum wrasse of some type

Give him time to get used to adjust and he should be fine. Just check for general good health behavior/signs, clear eyes, normal breathing, clean fins that aren't tucked in, etc. They are super hardy fish, but sometimes come in with flukes. You can offer live brine or pods, but as long as it's cruising and actively feeding, I wouldn't worry. Again, they are cryptic by nature, so be patient and enjoy.
