There is a thread going on currently about buying from members who have low post counts and it makes me wonder, does post count numbers help you decide to ether sell or buy from another member here on Reef2Reef?

Are we talking about members buying stuff from someone new here that has the minimum number of posts to sell stuff here?
I think you have to look at everything you can.
The way the ad is presented, the price and if pictures are involved.
If it's alot of money, then I'll even check the user name at other websites to see if I can see if anything shows up.
Plus I'll look at his posts here to see how things are here.
It's all about trust, and since we really haven't met face to face, then you have to figure out other ways to see if you can trust that person with your money.
I've been very lucky here and other sites. I've sent off as much as a weekly paycheck and been rewarded very well.
i agree with this statementActual post count, not really. But I would feel more comfortable buying from a member w a good rep. Which I don't really get from the feedback section. Just from seeing how their transactions go and involvement on the forum.
I completely agree! Except when it comes to Mfinn, we have met in person and he has my trust, with my life, let alone my money...lol
I look at the "whole person," as much as possible. The actual post count or even a lack of feedback, isn't really important to me. The "substance," of what they have posted, is important!
+1!No, but the feedback does
